Welcome to The Baby Breaux Blog! I created this blog months ago in hopes that I would soon be pregnant and counting down the days until we meet our precious Baby Breaux. I've been dying to say these next few words and the day is finally here: I'M PREGNANT!!!!

Yesterday on July 19, 2008 (Joshua's Birthday), he received the greatest birthday gift he could have hoped for... I got a positive pregnancy test! After jumping up and down for a few minutes, we then ran out the house to visit each of our parents to share the good news. I've never experienced so much excitement in all my life! The reality of it is just now settling in after a day of repeating the words, "I can't believe it!".

We want to tell the world and can't wait for all of our relatives and friends to share in the excitement. We've decided to wait until after the first doctor's appointment to tell everyone. There's just no way we can wait until the second trimester! I don't understand how anyone does it!

So based on my ovulation date, my estimated due date is March 29, 2009. Yes, we're aware that we may possibly have an April Fool's baby! The baby is currently 4 weeks and 1 day old, and according to my ticker is "1.5-2.5 mm big and it's organs, ears, eyes, arms and legs are just starting to form"! wow!

I decided to do this blog for my own personal journal purposes, but also to share my pregnancy journey with friends and family. I hope everyone finds this somewhat interesting, and will be as excited as we are when we finally get to share the news!
