Can you believe it? It's only been 13 days since my last entry! I actually have quite a bit to write about so I knew I had to post sooner so it doesn't end up taking me three hours to update.
Let's start with Beckham using the potty! I am so exited about this and so proud of my little man. For months he's been telling me "Poo Poo" when he has to make but I assumed that he was too young for me to even try to potty train him. Well on August 14th, he was looking at me and saying it again so I thought, "what the heck... I already bought the potty seat. I'll just sit him on it." I couldn't believe when he actually pooped in it! He sits on the potty everyday now, and he reads a book every time just like a true man. Since Aug. 14th, he has pooped on the potty 3 times and peed once (he could have peed more but since he sits on a real toilet instead of one of those toy ones, it's hard for me to tell when he pees). So since I've actually started the potty training process, I sometimes let Beckham run around the house naked. I do this when has sat on the toilet for a long period of time without making so I know he has to go soon. The reason why I do this is because when he has gone swimming outside in the nude, he has always come and cried to us when he needed to pee. Apparently, he felt as though he couldn't pee without his diaper on. So far this plan hasn't worked for me. LOL. One time, Beckham peed on the floor in his playroom and slipped in it! Another time, I had him in the bathroom with me while I was on the potty, and he tried to sneak into the hall to pee on the floor. I could tell by his face what he was up to when he was sneaking out. Then I heard the pee hit the floor. Not once has he told me when he had to pee. But we'll see. I'll keep trying this out.
Right after Beckham started getting over his rash, poor Everett took a turn for the worst. He ended up having diarrhea for about a week which left his little booty in the worst shape I have ever seen on a baby. In order to help it heal quicker, I let him lay without a diaper to air it out. Of course, he peed all over me! When he started peeing on me, I screamed and he stopped. Then when I stopped screaming, he started peeing on me again! I'd much rather clean pee off the floor. It's like I have two little puppies. Right after he peed on me, Beckham walked by and dropped his toy car on the floor near Everett's booty; and when he bent down to pick it up, he looked to the side and saw Everett's buttered up butt and said "Eeeeeeeeeeewww!!!" with the most disgusted look on his face! He stared at it frozen with that look for the longest time. Haha! It was so cute!
Beckham has his art hanging on the refrigerator for the first time! He's been coloring in an "Elmo" coloring book so I decided to hang one of his pictures on the fridge. He was so excited and proud. He points to it all the time.

Now once you start giving a child crayons, you should know to never leave them unattended with them... not even for a moment! But nope, I turned my back to him and the Boogerbutt wandered off to color on the wall while I was cooking. I can't help but think it's cute. :)
(The third photo is NOT of him coloring on the wall. He's just pointing to what he did.)
I think I mentioned Beckham's imagination before, but just in case, I want to make sure I have it documented. Months ago he started playing pretend. He would do things like pretend as though he was taking bites out of his round, wooden blocks and then pretend like he was chewing. He would also pretend like he was taking things out of his bath water and then pretend like he was putting them in a cup. He loves to pretend like he is drinking out of things. He takes tomato paste cans out of the pantry and toys that look like cups, and pretends like he is sipping them and ends with "Aaaaah". He also has these stackable cups that he plays with in the bath, and one day he set two of them on the floor and yelled "Shaaaaadie!" because he sees Donna making Sadie's food and water bowls, then set them on the floor and call her name. I just love his little mind!
My little boy is turning into a little man too fast... Beckham Boo already has a crush!! Whenever he hears Flo's voice on the Progressive commercials, he stops what he's doing and stares at her until the commercial ends. He also has a crush on my friend, Ariana. I first noticed it months ago when she came to the zoo with us. He kept his eyes on her the whole time. Well when she came over to visit this week, he did the same thing! He kept walking off and starting at her in the corner of his eyes, and then would smile when she looked at him. He doesn't do this with any of my other friends either! However, he has labeled one of my other friends as "the book lady". Whenever my friend, Kayla comes over, Beckham immediately brings her a book and sits on her lap, waiting for her to read to him. He's also been doing sweet eyes for a good while now. I really have to get that on video. It's so cute and funny. He's already ready to flirt!
Since Beckham is showing such an interest in books and reading, I decorated the house with nifty little index cards so that Beckham can see words and objects together. We have signs on everything, such as the oven, dishwasher, fireplace, pictures, windows, doors, tables, walls, bathroom, etc. He recognizes certain letters like "D" and "B", and knows the sounds of other letters like "S" and "W". He cracks me up when he goes up to the sign on the oven, points to the letters but says different letters. LOL.
Everett is learning too. He's been fake coughing for a while but now he fake laughs! He even does it without smiling. Haha! And he's getting so close to really scooting. He wants to play with his big brother sooooo bad.

Everett has gotten over his acid reflux, but sometimes he'll still spit up like any baby his age. Just the other day, He decided to shoot his spit up on Joshie's face! HAHAHAHAHA!!! I'd rather pee than spit up! Joshua was totally grossed out and kept saying, "GET HIM! GET HIM! I'm going to puke!". But I had to take a pic before I took the baby from him. :)

I took Everett's 4 months pics but only had a chance to edit one of them so far. But I love it!
So I think that's it for the last couple weeks. If I forgot something, I'll add it to my next post. Thanks for reading!
