Time is passing by so quickly and my boys are growing too fast. Everett is already a half year old and Beckham only has 6 more months until he is 2! I'm already thinking about the birthday party. As much as I am loving having Everett as my little baby, I'm really looking forward to next year when they can both run around together. Beckham gets sweeter and sweeter everyday. He is loving being a big brother and I know he'll love it even more when he can really play with Everett. Beckham comes in our bed in the middle of the night and Everett comes in at 7am, so I have both of my boys with me when I wake in the morning; and the first thing Beckham does is roll over and hug his little brother. The other day, Everett was crying in the exersaucer and Beckham kept going up to him and rubbing his head. And if there's something I need while I'm caring for Everett, Beckham goes and gets it for me. He's my little man. He would even hold the bottle for Everett at times! I couldn't have asked for a better first child.

Although Beckham is continuing to grow fast, his potty training has slowed down. He is now telling me "Poo Poo" after he poops in his diaper. I did have him sitting on the potty everyday, but I've stopped that. He poops on the potty about once a week. I still can't really tell when he pees though. I only know he has a couple of times because I noticed the spots on the other side of his seat. He just made 18 months which was when I intended on starting the potty training process so we're still far above schedule. We'll see how it goes!
So as I just mentioned, Beckham has regressed with potty training. Well it seems as though he has also regressed with bedtime. He was always so good with bed. He would read his book with Daddy and then go right into his bed without a problem. Well, for the last couple of weeks he has been throwing screaming fits when we put him down. He was crying for 1-2 hours every night, and one night he even cried for 3 HOURS! We never gave into him and would only go into his room every 10 minutes to lay him back down. He would cry and yell, "Mommy! Daddy! Bee-tee (Binky)". As soon as we would lay him down, he would immediately stand back up, throw his pacifier and cry. I ended up holding his binky from him for about 3 visits to his room one night; and when I finally gave it back, I told him that he wouldn't get it back if he threw it again. After that, he would hold it in his hand instead of throwing it, but still yell "Bee-tee!". Joshua now sings to him after story time until he falls asleep. We would much rather him fall asleep peacefully.
Speaking of binkies.... Beckham was seriously attached to his for quite a while. I couldn't get it out of his mouth. He held it there all day and night, everyday. Finally about a couple weeks ago, he started going without it. When we asked him for it, he would give it to us. And when he would ask us for it, we would tell him "You don't need a binky. Binkies are for babies." and he would forget about it. One time, he even saw me give Everett a binky and he said "Binky...baby". He pretty much only has his binky at night time now. He even naps without it most of the time.
Beckham looooooves tiny things! It can be anything... rocks, keys, screws, things I don't even know what they are, etc. LOL. He finds things and carries them in his hands for days. He even loves to hold plastic food wrappers, like from candies. He's going to love Halloween!

3. Beckham watches me get ready every morning and I always turn to him when I'm done and ask, "How does Mommy look?". Now my precious little man says, "Bu-fuuuuuul". Aww, thanks. ;)
5. I'm pretty sure I forgot to mention this, but Beckham learned his colors months ago.
8. When we ask Beckham where Daddy is, he says "Work".He says it so cute, I wish I could describe it.
10. Yesterday on the way to the zoo, we passed by a Walmart and Beckham started pointing to the sign and saying "MawMart!" Thanks to his Nonna, he also knows the Walmart sign.
11. Once we got to the zoo yesterday, Beckham pointed to all the parked school buses and kept saying "Schooo!" Another thing I had no idea he knew!
Oh he's Momma's Koala Bear which is the nickname he got a few months ago. He just latches on to whoever is holding him and looks around. We even found out after we gave him the name that a few of our other family members (Tori, Whit & Judah) were also calling him that! He is so happy and smiley, that baby. You just look at him and he gets so excited. I've just never seen a happier baby! And boy is he a baby. He just loves it! He'll sit in your lap forever and never complain. He loves to just relax and watch everyone, especially Beckham. He had given up on trying to scoot around until just recently, and would just roll around and watch. On a side note, he's gotten to the stage where he tries to roll away when I dress or change him. I Hate this stage!
Everett LOVES stuffed animals! He hugs them, rubs his face on them and likes to eat them. He would much rather chew on a stuffed animal rather than a hard toy.
Everett can sit without using his hands now but he definitely needs to be watched out for because he is always trying to reach too far for things or move into a crawling pose. He is so darn clumsy. He still can't sit in the wagon seat because he just wants to reach forward the whole time.
My little chubba wubba just started eating FOOD! I stuck to my plan of no food until 6 months and now the time has come. I started giving him cereal a week before so that he could practice eating with a spoon and he was so excited. He laughed the whole time!

Earlier this week, I started him on green beans. Aww the poor baby doesn't like them! He doesn't take after his brother with anything else, and he sure doesn't take after him with eating either. Beckham used to looove his greenie beanies, but Everett makes the yucky face every time I give him a spoonful, and he just holds it in his mouth forever without swallowing. He just started on sweet potatoes and he loves them! He would only eat a half jar of green beans but eats up an entire jar of sweet potatoes.

Everett started saying "Mama" a couple of weeks ago! Donna was watching him for me one day and when she brought him home, she told me about it; but I was like "Nooooooo... he always says 'Maaaaaaaaa" when he cries. He's been saying that since he was born." Well, she was right! A little while after she left, he kept saying "Mamamamamama!". And for days, he said it all day long! We've also heard him say "Nonna" a few times.
We sat Everett up in a high chair at a restaurant (Olive Branch) for the first time. He hit the table a bunch and then whined to get out because he was tired. Both Everett and Beckham are in the pic... it's kind of dark because I used my phone to take the pic.
Both of the boys went to the doctor yesterday. There were 6 shots between both babies. Everett got 4 and Beckham got 2. Everett now weighs 16lbz 10oz and is 26 1/4 in long. He is 9 oz bigger than Beckham was at 6 months and almost 2 inches shorter which is why he is so much fatter than Beckham was. Beckham is 22lbs... finally over 20! Everett wears mostly 9 month clothing and Beckham still wears a lot of 12 month stuff. Everett has even been wearing some 12 month outfits these last couple of days!
The weather has been BEAUUUUUUTIFUL! We've been taking the boys out to enjoy it. Here are some fun things we've been doing!
We've been going to the zoo and the older Beckham gets, the more he loves it. One day we got to see the sea lions eat and do tricks and he was so into it. He was pointing at them and saying "Oooooooo!".
One day we took the ferry with Donna to and from the River Walk and the Aquarium. That was the first time I saw Beckham really enjoying the fish. He was pointing to them and trying to find them in the tanks.

We took the boys to Gretna Fest and Beckham got to go on rides for the first time! He also got to play some of the games, and he won a sword that he loves.

If we're not out doing something, we're in our backyard! We LOVE our new backyard! We stay out there all day and when Daddy gets home in the evenings, we stay out until it gets dark. Beckham has a slide that he climbs all over like a little monkey. He goes down sooooo fast, and he does it over and over again. He also has a basketball goal that he spends forever playing with. He goes up to the net, holds the ball over it and says "Waitiiiiiiiing..." because I always tell him "I'm waitiiiiing..." when he holds the ball there too long. The other day, he yelled "Ba-baaaaaaall!" when we walked outside. He also likes riding in his car and on his bike, or pushing his little blue wagon around out there.

Gene and Donna took us for a ride in their boat! It was Beckham's first time and he HATED the life jacket. He cried for the first half but ended up enjoying himself. And I just love the way Beckham says boat - "Boot"!
