When I last wrote, I was in CA on vacation and our big move felt so far away. It's hard to believe we have less than two weeks left until we're on the road! We will certainly miss our life here in New Orleans, but we're very excited about our new adventure. But first, we have a lot of catching up to do!
Below are some photos I took of the boys for their birthday party invitations. We shot these pictures in about 10 minutes because Everett wouldn't stop crying and Beckham wouldn't stop running around. Still love the pictures though!

March 25th was Beckham's 2nd birthday, and Joshua & I got back in town just in time to give him some big birthday hugs & kisses. Our flight landed right at midnight on his birthday. He was asleep in Donna's car and was not very happy to be awakened, to say the least. Everett, on the other hand, was all smiles and giggles as usual. These boys are just so different!
After we got some sleep, we took the boys to The Monkey Room for Beckham's birthday. It's his favorite place and he's always begging us to bring him there. There were actually two other people celebrating their birthdays there that day, and one of them was a little girl the exact same age as Beckham & who was born in the same hospital as him!
That night we sang "Happy Birthday" to Beckham at his Nonna's house where we enjoyed some yummy cupcakes and watched him open some gifts.

The next day was Beckham AND Everett's birthday party so I let them open their gift that morning. Beckham had been saying for months that he wanted "a biiiiiiiig present to open" so I made sure to wrap it for him. It was a kitchen for the boys to share, and they spent the rest of the time until their party cooking things up. When I was searching for the right kitchen for them online about a month before, I showed Beckham a picture of this kitchen and asked if he like it. I pointed out different things about it such as the microwave and he replied, "It's too high. I can't reach it". LOL He was right! But after he saw that picture, if you asked him what he wanted for his birthday he would say, "A house... A knife... A fork".

Their birthday party was a Saints football theme and we requested that everyone wear their black & gold. It was the perfect party for our little Saints fan, and our guests enjoyed it so much that one of them had the same exact party a month later!

Here are some pictures of the boys enjoying some of their birthday gifts!

Check out this picture Beckham colored in one of his new coloring books! I was so surprised to see how well he stayed in the lines!

Everett's 1st birthday was on March 31st. My baby is getting so big! Beckham and I baked him a fun cake, and we celebrated at Chuck E. Cheese with family. I took Everett to Chuck E. Cheese a week earlier for a birthday party, and I had never seen him have so much fun before so it was definitely the perfect place for his birthday. He really had a blast! And so did Daddy... LOL.

Not long after the boys' birthdays, Joshua's sister Tasha, her husband Frank and their new baby Isaac came in town from San Diego. Joshua and I were so excited to see them and baby Isaac again so soon, and Everett finally got to spend some time with his nanny! They are a huge reason we are so thrilled to be moving to CA. Our base is only a 15 minute drive from their house! While they were in town, Donna and Gene finally got to have all of their grandsons in one spot a the same time. Donna has been flying back and forth from here to CA since Isaac was born so we have really been missing her here. She is there right now! :(

Right after our visit with the Toros, Joshua and I took the boys to the beach in Biloxi! It was Everett's very first time at a beach, and Beckham hasn't been since he was only 5 months old. I can't even put into words how much fun they had that day. Beckham has been begging to go back, and I cannot wait until we are living just minutes from some beautiful California beaches!!

Easter came not long after our trip to the beach. They got to sit on the bunny and ride the train in the mall. And Beckham is so funny! We tried to take them to sit on the bunny about a week before they actually did but by the time we got to the mall, it was closed. When we explained to Beckham that the bunny had to go home for the night, he said "Easter Bunny and Santa Caus in Californa" (the missing letters is actually how he says the words). He thinks everyone that leaves must be going to California!

Since Donna has been spending most of her days in California watching baby Isaac for Tasha and Frank, Gene has been spending a lot of his free time with Beckham. He's been taking my little man on lots of adventures!

Here are some pictures of Beckham in the backyard looking for lizards and bugs. Check out this awesome shot of a lizard we found!

The same day we were searching around the backyard, we went to the zoo!

On May 1st, Joshua and I took the boys to the Twin Canals with Papa, but first we stopped to watch him finish is morning run!

After walking the trails, the three of us took the boys to the Visitation School Fair.

It's so hot here in NOLA so my boys have been spending so much time in the bakyard swimming and playing in the sprinker. Here are some cute pics of them enjoying the sun!

Check out this super cool pic that Beckham took of me with my phone! I was amazed how what a great shot he got, and now I'm totally expecting him to grow up to become a photographer like his mommy!
On May 5th, beckham learned how to ride is tricycle by peddling! Joshua had been trying to teach him for months and then I just caught him doing it this day when I went in the backyard. He rides it everyday now, and he's super fast!
Mother's Day was May 8th this year, and I had a fabulous day. We went to a party in the morning with Gene and then to my mom's house for crawfish in the afternoon. My Joshie made me and my mom the yummiest strawberry margaritas that I ever had!
Everett started sucking from a straw on Beckham's birthday. We were at Chuck E. Cheese for another birthday party (Beckham stayed at Nonna's house to play with his new toys) and I decided to let him try for the first time because he was given a kiddie cup with a straw. It took him two tries and then he had it down.
1.) Everett was crying the other day and Beckham said twice in a row, "I just want my Everett to be happy..."
2.) Beckham is always coming up to me and asking, "Hey Mommy, how ya doin?" and when I say "Good. How are you?" he answers "I'm fine." LOL
4.) Becham says "Excuse me" after he burps. lol
5.) Beckham says he loves his toys and he's always telling us that he loves us.
6.) If you ask Beckham what color eyes he has, he'll let you know that he has hazel eyes.
7.) When he's being a naughty boy, I'll ask Beckham "Where's Mommy's sweet boy?" and he'll say "I wight hea, Mommy".
8.) About a month ago, Beckham started saying "I can't" all the time. Thankfully, he doesn't say it as often anymore.
9.) For a while, when Beckham heard a loud noice, he would say "Saw dat noise?" And he's always asking, "Saw dat??" when he's sees something he likes.
10.) Beckham watches the Toy Story movies everyday when he goes down for his nap, and he's even been watching it at night in his room this past week, and he's been reciting lines from the movies and then cracking up laughing. I love watching him become a little man!
This isn't the best way to end the blog, but now I'll tell you about the scariest moment of my life. A few weeks ago, Beckham was in the bed with me and Joshua, and I woke up to find him under the blanket. I tried to wake him and he would not move or make a sound so I began shaking him and yelling his name. Still nothing! I frantically woke Joshua and he started doing the same thing for about a minute until Beckham finally made a sound. He never did open his eyes, but a sound was all we needed. Talk about sleeping hard!

Now it's time for me to catch you up on the boys! My Evie is still NOT walking on his own. He'll run around while pushing a toy, and even walk back and forth on the couch without holding on to anything, but he will NOT walk on the floor unassisted. When I try to stand him up on his own, he throws him self down and throws a mini fit. LOL. However, we somtimes catch him standing up on his own without pulling himself up on anything.

Everett also started pointing right after my last post. Once he figured it out, he started pointing at everything all the time. My favorite is when he points his finger at himself and stares at it. He's pretty much stopped doing that now that he's become a pro at pointing. Oh and Everett has 6 teeth now.
Here are some cute things that BECKHAM has said!
