I Heart My Vienna Sausage

As of yesterday, I have successfully made it to the second trimester! It felt forever away but it's actually here, and there are so many exciting things to look forward to this trimester! Most important are feeling the baby and finding out the gender which will both hopefully get to happen in less than two months!

I assumed that the second trimester would begin the "honeymoon" period but so far, not so much. I was really starting to feel so much better for a little while, and then last Wednesday came around and brought with it the dreaded feelings of intense hunger and nausea. Ugh.... oh well, I guess it can't last too much longer.

As usual, Baby Breaux has some interesting things going on. What a busy bee! Baby Breaux is able to swallow this week and practices on the amniotic fluid. Remember what we talked about before regarding the urine? Well, yeah, that's happening now as well....yuck! What's even more nasty is that my precious baby is now pooping and my body is just sucking it up! This baby better thank me in the future! And I'm definitely going to have to put a nail file on my registry because Baby Breaux's finger and toenails are forming this week. My little pooper has also doubled in size over the past two weeks and is now around 2 ½ inches long, about the length of your pinky finger or a Vienna sausage. Even my uterus is about the size of a softball!

Oh and some more exciting news!! Friday I scheduled our 3D/4D Ultrasound! This, I cannot wait for! It's scheduled for Saturday, December 13th and I have no idea how I'm going to hold out for so long. Of course, I don't really have a choice, but this pregnancy has made me the most impatient person in the world! Ah! I guess it's better than waiting until March to see the baby's face!
