For weeks now, I've been sitting with my video camera waiting for this little baby to roll over for the first time. Whenever I leave him with someone, I even tell them not to put him on his belly because I want to be there when he first flips himself over. Would you believe that this little booger rolled himself over this morning right when I turned around?!
I was at my mommy group talking about how I've been trying to get Beckham to roll over and how I couldn't wait to see him do it. I had Beckham laying on his tummy facing Zoe who was also on her tummy and they looked so cute that I turned around to grab my camera; and just as I looked back, I saw legs and arms flying in the air and the end of Beckham rolling over. Everyone saw it and started cheering, and I only caught the tail end of it! And the worst part is I missed it for nothing because I didn't even get a picture of them on their tummies. By the way, Beckham weighed exactly 13lbs today at the group. He gained 8oz since last week and has officially doubled his weight since birth!
After the group, I brought Beckham with me to babysit a 1 year old boy named Ezra. Ezra was really great with Beckham except that he kept wanting to grab Beckham's hair every time he pet his head. Haha! They had a Lamaze tummy time toy there that I put Beckham on and he stayed like that for the longest time watching Sesame Street. I can't believe how that show hypnotized the babies!Although Beckham was happy and in a great mood all day, as soon as we got home he threw a screaming fit that nothing could soothe. This was totally not like him so I gave him a cold teething ring and he immediately calmed down. He has been drooling and gnawing on his hands for weeks now but he never seemed like he was in pain so I wasn't sure if he was teething yet. After his fit today, I took a closer look at his gums and I can see two pointy teeth trying to break through on the bottom. I have been really dreading the teething period and I was hoping I had more time until then. I guess the sooner we get these teeth out, the sooner it will be over!
