"I so happy and I so love you!"

Tomorrow will be September!  WOW!  We've been living in Cali for three months already.  Before we know it, it will be time for the holidays!  Right now, Nonna is in town.  She came in Friday night, spent the weekend with us and is now staying at Tasha's for the week so that she can watch baby Isaac.  Joshua took off of work yesterday so we spent the day in San Diego with them.  Then we left Everett there to spend some more time with Nonna while Joshua and I get to spend some time alone with Beckham.  Saturday we will be all headed to Vegas, and then Beckham will be leaving from there with Nonna and Papa' to spend ten days in New Orleans.  So there is currently a lot going on!

I forgot to post pictures from Father's Day in my last blog!  Oopsie!  We went on a very scary hike.. and that's all I'll say about that!

So here's what's been going on with BECKHAM.  Most of this are just things that I forgot to add in my last entry, and I'm sure there will be more that I'll forget to add in this one.  Wish I could keep track of everything!

Beckham spells his first name now!  He had the B-E-C down since he was just over a year old but now he can spell the entire word.  He also recognizes just about all of the letters in the alphabet so he is able to put the letters of his name in correct order.  Here's a video of him spelling it!

Ooooh potty training!  Today is week 6, I believe and Beckham is completely trained!  FINALLY!!  So he hasn't been in a diaper in 6 weeks!  Week 1 was horrible.  He peed on himself over and over and OVER!  The Week 2 he did surprisingly well.  He had the pooping in the potty down and only peed on himself about once a day and even had days with no accidents.  By Week 3, he was going days in a row with no accidents.  Week 4 was baaaaaaaaad!  He regressed and began pooping and peeing on himself several times a day.  And finally, Week 5 was amazing.  He had one pee accident the entire week, and it's been 7 days since.  Most mornings he even wakes up with a dry pull up and he never pees during his naps.  I'm so proud of my little man for giving in!  Haha!

For a while, Beckham was repeating the question when we would ask him one.  For example, if I were to ask him, "Why did you push your brother?"  He would answer, "Because I pushed him."  Or "Why did you color that red?"  he would answer, "Because I colored that red."  Well he now understand how to use the word "because"!  This makes me very happy because it was soooo frustrating!  LOL.

Beckham also loves to use the phrase "That's absurd!".  When we went to the San Diego Zoo a couple months ago, he saw a dog and a cheetah together in a cage and sad, "A dog and a cheetah?  What?!  That's absurd!" ...and he always has to say "What?!" before he says it's absurd.  He always has me laughing!

Beckham learned what "similar" means so now he points things out that are similar just like when he learned what a "match" was.  Now, he find two things and says "Look Mommy, it's a lot alike... it's similar!".

A couple of months ago, I took a really cute video of Beckham "Driving Without A License" but thanks to Papa' and Aunt Marcia, he now has two.  Below are pictures of him driving and the "must see" video!  I can't believe how much better he speaks since this video was made.  He speaks so much clearer now and sounds so much older!

For the last couple months, Beckham has decided that he wants to call us "Mom" and "Dad".  But Joshua often gets called "Joshie" too.  Hahaha!

Joshua and I catch ourselves saying "What the heck!" a lot, and we're not happy about it.  It is not something we want our kids saying, and Beckham has already picked up on it.  This little boy loves to do things just because I tell him not too, so when I told him "Please don't say that.  It sounds ugly and Mommy doesn't like it.  Mommy and Daddy are trying very hard not to say that too." ....I caught him later that day talking to himself while looking at me in the corner of his eye, saying "I like 'what the heck'.  I like it."  He truly is a boogerbutt.  I'm not just saying that!  That was a few months ago and now he is saying "What in the world?!".  I, however, have not been able to control myself, and Beckham is quick to point it out to me... "No Mommy!  Don't say that bad word!  Say 'What in the world'!".  I'm trying!!

Another boogerbutt story:  Last week I was taking Everett upstairs to go to bed, and I asked Beckham, "Brother is going to sleep.  You know what that means?"  He answered, "Be quiet."  Then I asked, "That's right.  So are you going to be a good boy?"  He replied with a smile and said "No, I gonna be a naughty boy."  And sure enough, he screamed as I was walking Everett to his room.  ::sigh::

On the bright side, my son is a happy kid.  He tells me all the time!  He comes to me everyday and says, "I so happy!" or "You make me so happy!"  One day he came to me and said, "Mommy, I sooooo happy and I sooooo love you!".  Just melted my heart!  Yesterday I told him that he makes me so happy and he replied, "You make myself so happy!".  Hehe.  He is always telling me that he loves me too.  He's so affectionate and cuddly.  I call him my little hug bug, and he tells me "I not a little hug bug.  I'm a biiiiiiig lady bug!".  I don't know what I would do without him.

EVERETT is growing up too fast.  He thinks he is ready for a big boy bed, but I just don't agree!  The little monkey has started climbing out of his crib!   I never had a problem with this with Beckham before; but then again, I think Beckham started sleeping in a toddler bed when he was the age Evie is now.  But I just know there is no way Everett will stay in a bed without a rail to hold him in!  This is a problem I will have to deal with next week when Beckham is in New Orleans, and I'm totally dreading it.  I am glad though that it is happening just as Beckham will be leaving so that it won't interfere with Beckham's night time routine.

Since Everett was a little baby, he has gotten joy from hearing us all cry "OW!".  He's smacks or pinches us and then yells "Ow!" for us!  And if he hears anyone say "Ow", watch out because he's going to try to make you say it again!  Somethings are cute AND painful.

Everett had his first haircut!  Joshua cut it in the backyard.  I told him to just trim it and he ended up cutting off way more than I wanted.  But of course, my baby is adorable no matter how long his hair is!  And after getting used to his new do, I must admit that I do like it.  But boy did he need it!  Just check out these pics below... I was even able to put it in pig tails!!

Everett has all of his teeth but four now.  And he looooooves brushing them!  Both of my boys do!

Everett's favorite song is "Old Mc Donald".  He sings "E I E I Oooooo.. quack quack here.... quack quack here...".  Beckham calls Mc Donald's "Old Mc Donald had a farm" and the other day as we were pulling up to the restaurant, he said "I want to go to Old Mc Donald had a farm!" and then Everett said "E I E I Ooooo!".  They are a cute pair.  :)

Everett also loves to say his vowels!  "A E I O U!"

Evie (just like his brother) will pick up anything that looks remotely like a microphone and begin singing into it.  It is so entertaining when they sing together!  It's our own little Breaux Sheaux!

Everett has learned not to go in the street when he plays in the front yard, but he still takes off running down the side walk!

Everett climbs up slides (even BIG ones) and goes down them all by himself with no assistance now!

If you chase Evie around, he yells "Imma get you!".

Everett loves to say "I love YOU!"  ... he screams "YOU!" at the end.  LOL

It's very common to find Everett singing the "oompa loompa" song from Willy Wonka while dancing.  Oh and here's a quick story about Beckham while I'm on the subject of Willy Wonka!  Over the weekend, Beckham was showing Nonna how he puts his new puzzle together, and Joshua asked him to sing "Oompa Loompa" for her because it says "puzzle" in the song.  So Nonna asked Beckham what movie that song was from and Beckham said "Willy Wonka.... he says 'Inside this room are my dreams."  I was amazed!  He was quoting the line from the movie from right before Wonka opens the door to the candy room and says "Inside this room, all of my dreams become reality."

I'm going to close this post with some pics of the boys with their cousin, Isaac and a whole lot of pics of the boys together.  Enjoy.  :)
