So Much Has Changed!

Finally a new post! I'm three weeks behind and so much has happened since I last wrote. I've been sick for the last nine days and there's no sign of me feeling better any time soon so I figured I better not wait for that to post again.

When I last posted, Beckham had said "da da" for the first time. That same week, he crawled for the first time, pulled himself up for the first time, and even got his first tooth!

On Tuesday, October 6th, Beckham said "da da" for the first time.

On Wednesday, October 7th, Joshua, Beckham and I met my dad, Robin and Kate for lunch and Beckham sat in a highchair for the first time. He did really well and has since sat in several.

During the lunch, Beckham also ate a lemon for the first time. I got to say, he handled that lemon pretty well. He sucked on it like it wasn't sour at all!

On Thursday, October 8th, Beckham crawled for the first time! He was playing with a toy so I pulled out my camera to take a picture, and he suddenly began to crawl to me. I immediately switched my camera to video and was able to catch it all on film! Unfortunately, Joshua left to go to the gym and missed it :(.

Later that day, we took Beckham to his 6 month check up where he received four shots and one oral medication. He screamed bloody murder while the shots were being given, but he quieted down as soon as he was in his daddy's arms.

On Friday, October 9th, Joshua and I went to a movie and left Beckham with Donna and Gene. They brought him to visit Gene's parents and took a pic of him with his great grandma Nola for me.

On Saturday, October 10th, Beckham pulled himself up for the first time! Joshua and I were both sitting with him in the living room when he used the swing to pull himself up to a standing position. We put him back down and filmed him doing it for the second time!

On Sunday, October 11th, Beckham got his first tooth! His bottom left one broke through and is now very visible.

On Tuesday, October 13th, Beckham went to the baby group for the last time. Boooo! I only brought him for the last thirty minutes because he no longer sits still and I didn't want him hurting any of the little babies. When I weighed him there, he was 16lbs 2oz which meant that he lost 5 oz since the week before. I suppose it was due to all the crawling and pulling up he was doing in that last week. He hasn't been back since so I have no idea how much he weighs now :(.

On Wednesday, October 14th, Baby Payton was born weighing 7lbs 12oz and 19 1/2 inches! Congrats again to Jason and Sam! Sam was kind to us and pushed that baby out in minutes so there was no waiting at the hospital for 9 long hours again...haha!

On Thursday and Friday (October 15th & 16th), my youngest sister, Cherie' spent the night for the first time since Beckham was about 6 weeks old. Every time she looked at him and smiled, he would laugh. They really enjoyed each other!

While Cherie' was here (October 15th), Beckham started waving "hello" for the first time! He sticks his arm straight out with his hand wide open and swings it back and forth. He does it all the time now because he loves looking at it. This same day he also signed "Daddy" for the first time! Beckham was copying Joshua waving so Joshua figured out that when he moved his hand to his forhead, Beckham would do it too.

On Saturday, October 17th, Joshua, Beckham and I went to visit baby Payton at Jason and Sam's. Everyone was there including Kate and Theresa so we were able to get some pictures of the three baby cousins together.

When we tried getting the photo of them together on the couch, Beckham would scream every time we placed a baby next to him. Once the baby was removed, he was fine again. I took a little video of everyone trying to get the babies to sit together for the photo!

On Sunday, October 18th, we took Beckham to dinner with us for my brother, Danny's 25th birthday. He was dressed in his Saints getup and he and Joshie were matching!

Sometime last week, I think Monday the 19th, my friend Amanda and I took our babies for a walk around the base. After, we all went to her house for a play date and the babies played so cute together. She had some table toys and they both wanted to stand up and play with them at the same time. From time to time, Ariel would look and her mom and fuss because Beckham was trying to play with them at the same time as her. It was so cute!

That same day and most days after, I brought Beckham to the park next to my house. They have really big swings in which I can swing with Beckham on my lap on and am able to lean back. Beckham is so content when we're swinging that he'll sit there for at least thirty minutes before getting fidgety. Once he even fell asleep. After we swing, I bring him to the slide and let him slide down on his own while I'm holding his hands and he loves it. He finishes on his feet with a big smile and I just know he feels like a big boy.

On Tuesday, October 20th, Joshua noticed Beckham's 2nd tooth! Mommy didn't find out about it until Friday though... uuhhrrr. The second one to break through was his bottom right one.

This past Friday, Joshua had a work party in Slidell and it was such a beautiful day. They had a little lake in their backyard and we hung out on the deck the majority of the time. I took some really cute pictures of Beckham there and I even got one of him with his little friend, J'Lynn.

On Saturday, we took Beckham to the Washington Parish Fair with my mom, Huey and Cherie'. They had tons of farm animals there and Beckham enjoyed looking at them all.

Sunday was Athens' first birthday party in Abita Springs. It was a costume party and all the kids were dressed so cute! We dressed Beckham up as a little pirate because we wanted to draw a mustache on him! Below is a pic of the birthday boy and some pics of Beckham.

With all the driving we did over the weekend, Beckham was still an angel! He spent so many hours in the car and only fussed and tiny bit when we were about to get out. I couldn't have asked for a better baby.

ABOUT BABY BREAUX #2:

I'm now over 16 weeks pregnant and everything is still going great! On Thursday, October 8th, I felt the baby move for the first time at 14 1/2 weeks! It was exactly 2 weeks earlier than I felt Beckham. He/she seems to be just as active as Beckham because I'm feeling it all the time. I first felt it was when I was laying in bed to go to sleep; but unlike Beckham who for weeks I could only feel when I was laying down, I'm able to feel this one when I'm sitting up too. It really is the most amazing feeling in the world. And because I was feeling the baby move, I wasn't a nervous wreck like I usually am at my prenatal appt. On Thursday, October 22nd, we got to hear the heartbeat again! Once again it was high at 150bpm. We also scheduled our NT scan while we were there! It is scheduled for November 19th! Only about 3 weeks away! I can't believe we will know what baby #2 is so soon! (if he/she allows). At this appt I weighed 128lbs for a total weight gain of 3lbs so far.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I've been sooooo freakin sick!! Today is day 9 and I'm only feeling worse. Because I'm pregnant, I can only take Tylenol and Robitussin... not good! They are not helping at all! Beckham has developed a little cold too but he's actually started sounding a little better today. Thankfully, he didn't get bad at all. I was so worried about him having to feel the way I do. It would just break my heart!

Now, I don't know if this is because I recently had a baby, because I'm pregnant or because of both but oh lordy, I think I need some Depends! I've been peeing on myself so much when I cough! I even peed on myself while writing this blog and I had to take a break to change! Pantie liners usually make for a decent diaper when I sneeze but they sure can't handle a cough! Ugh, I just need to be done with this cold!!

For the first time ever, I have fallen behind with my belly pics. I have my 16 week one but I missed the last 2 weeks. My belly hasn't seem to change at all since my 13 week pic though so I don't think I missed anything. I'll post the new pic on the Belly Pic page as soon as I get a chance.
