I honestly cannot believe that my baby girl will be three weeks old tomorrow. I waited nine long months for her, and in the blink of an eye she will be month old... in just a week! This is just a taste of how quickly her life will pass by. I feel like it was just a month ago that I gave birth to Beckham, and now my biggest little man is already three years old. As difficult as three children under the age of four can be all at times, I wish I could just freeze them right where they are and keep them this way forever.
Marigny has been doing extremely well. She only cries when she is hungry or has gas, and the rest of the time she is sleeping or looking around. She has been eating 4oz every two hours during the day and every three hours at night. By two weeks, she gained one pound and grew two inches (7lbs 7oz, 20 inches).
Marigny
loves her brothers! Beckham loves holding her, and they both love to kiss and pet her. Everett has held her with Beckham twice and held her on his own once, but only for a very short period of time.
Here's a video of Becks holding his baby sister!
Beckham is always wanting to share his toys with Marigny. At first, he was trying to give her big, heavy toys but after a good talk, he now shares his "tiny" toys with her by placing them on her belly. I have found a little motorcycle on her once and some trains on her before. She naps in her pack-n-play in the living room so the boys go up and rub her head, and apparently leave things for her.
Marigny's umbilical cord fell off in two pieces at two different times, and the last part finally fell off a few days ago so she was able to have a real bath. She cried most of the time, but I think it was because Joshua was afraid to make the bath water warm enough. She hasn't cried in the bath when I run the water. I remember we had this same issue when Beckham was a newborn...lol. The boys sat on the counter and watched as Marigny had her first bath.
I've had a few photo shoots with Marigny already. She is always difficult during them so I had to shoot her sleeping in most of them. Here she is at one week old:

I have to give a shout out to Donna's sister and her husband, Kay Kay and Tom Tom for sending us a super sweet congratulatory gift, chocolate covered strawberries and fudge pops!

When Marigny was 6 days old, Gene returned to visit us and brought my baby sister, Cherie' (aka Myshie) with him. Myshie will be staying with us until the end of July and we have all been super happy to have her here. Gene stayed for a week and then took Donna back to New Orleans with him. Donna's farewell was very hard on the boys. She was here for two months as their primary caregiver while I was incapable so her absence took some getting used to. After the first couple days, they adjusted really well; but right after they said goodbye and Donna drove off, they cried their little eyes out. Beckham was crying the worst and for the longest, to the point where I was in tears. I watched him stare off and his eyes sadden as Joshua explained that Nonna was going back to New Orleans but that she would be back at a later time. After gazing off for a minute, he ran to me and let the tears out into my arms and then ran back to Joshua. Joshua kept telling him that she would be back one day, but Beckham continuously replied with "No she's not!". It was hard, but my tough little boys are doing well.

My boys are really getting so big. They can both now swim on their own (with arm floaties)! Everett was the first. He was even the first to jump off the steps and under the water! It took Beckham a few more days to get brave enough, but he wasn't too far behind. They are both so tan after spending so much time in the sun!
One of our favorite things to do lately is go to downtown Oceanside and walk on the pier. It's so beautiful at sunset and they always have musicians out playing music which Beckham loves to dance to. My friend, musician Aaron Kaufman (www.aaronkaufmanmusic.com)drove through on his way to Los Angeles so we took him out there too.
Father's Day was June 17th this year. We met up with Frank and Tasha at the San Diego Safari Park and then all went out to dinner at BJ's. It was Joshie's first Father's Day as the father of three children!
Here are some pics of my precious little boys!
